Brochures system

Somali Health Board is a nonprofit based in Seattle, that serves King County’s Somali community. Since joining the org, first as a volunteer, then as a consultant, and now as an fte employee, one challenge has been fully realizing a brand new identity and applying it across everything the org does.

The most obvious need is to represent our programs on our website and to match that with brochures for each program and their services.

With every attempt, it feels like the system will inevitably break.

Our pain points are a simplified palette, very few assets, an inconsistent naming convention for programs and services, and, ultimately, an unlimited number of products the org could create.

I’m mainly using free-to-use images from Unsplash and Pexels, and for covers, I’m using Enshroud by Medina Dugger.
